Classy Architecture

An external school room, complete with underfloor heating and... a flowering roof

Finish Natural finish on Standard Cladding.
Dimensions 5m x 3.6m
Description We created the structure pictured for the Norton Free Church of England Primary School who needed more teaching space. It is 5mtr x 3.6mtr, made of tanalised softwood. The UPVc french doors have sloped, non-slip decking leading up to them. An arched canopy overhangs the entrance. The building is insulated, and warmed by underfloor heating. Its walls have been plastered, and a carpet laid. On the roof, 500 sedum plugs were planted, which will flower this summer. Three small windows in the rear wall give extra light. The project was completed in four weeks - for thousands of pounds less than the school had expected to pay.
